Carbon Free Group - Sustainability Explored Workshop

Come to Kent on 8th April 2009 for an workshop addressing the cornerstones of shaping a Low Carbon Society.

This event is about action - It is designed to help make a difference in how we shape sustainable communities as the UK makes its rapid transition to a low carbon economy.  

Find out about how a typical village community could actually make this transition today.

An event for all those who are taking action in helping deliver sustainable communities at the grass roots level 

- Building professionals, Planners, Local Government, Public Sector Agencies and Local Community Members.

- Subjects to be covered include: Zero carbon building and technologies, renewable energy systems (micro and macro), community financing models and much more, all from individuals who are making sustainable communities happen in the UK today.

*The event will be releasing the findings from an energy assessment on the villageSt. Margaret's at Cliffe (where the conference is being held).   The survey, backed by Kent County Council and local community members, is believed to be a first for the UK, demonstrating how the village can become a low carbon community, exporting surplus renewable energy and maximising local sourcing of food, water and other basic resources with details of the costs & finance options of getting there. of
